I'm Ruthie, and I'm an Experience Designer in NYC. My pronouns are she/her. I like to make weird stuff, like this pumpkin computer. I also enjoy making weird video games and weird art and weird sandwiches. Like, cottage cheese and jalapeño sandwiches.

Even though I moved away, I'm still part of RVA Game Jams. It's an awesome group that does collaborative game jams, coworking events, and free workshops in Richmond, Virginia. Together, we've made, like, a BILLION games, and you can play them for free right here on this very website.

Though I've made a handful of games in Unity, my favorite framework is HaxeFlixel because it's open-source and awesome for pixel-perfect games. I've also used Godot, Pico-8, and Twine once or twice. There is no 'best' engine and I think everyone should try them all. I use Aseprite to make pixel art and a mixture of Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator to make 2D art.
